Mama's Homemade Pizza

A couple of months ago I did a post with a recipe for my mother's American Pancakes, and it proved extremely popular so I decided to do another. This time I thought I'd do one of her classics, pizza.

To make this recipe, you will need:

  • 400g spelt flour
  • 100g semolina
  • 2tsp salt
  • 1.5tsp dry yeast
  • 275ml water
  • 50ml olive oil
  • Toppings to your taste (I recommend mozzarella)
This recipe is extremely easy to do and fun to make, especially with other people. All you need to do is:
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together, making sure to sieve the flour thoroughly.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Roll it out and add your toppings. Mum sometimes makes hers with pesto instead of tomato sauce, if you'd like to try something new!
  5. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the crust begins to look golden brown.
  6. Enjoy!
