Mama's Homemade Pizza
A couple of months ago I did a post with a recipe for my mother's American Pancakes, and it proved extremely popular so I decided to do another. This time I thought I'd do one of her classics, pizza.
To make this recipe, you will need:
- 400g spelt flour
- 100g semolina
- 2tsp salt
- 1.5tsp dry yeast
- 275ml water
- 50ml olive oil
- Toppings to your taste (I recommend mozzarella)
This recipe is extremely easy to do and fun to make, especially with other people. All you need to do is:
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Mix the dry ingredients together, making sure to sieve the flour thoroughly.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Roll it out and add your toppings. Mum sometimes makes hers with pesto instead of tomato sauce, if you'd like to try something new!
- Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the crust begins to look golden brown.
- Enjoy!
